While the Year 8 have been working on their Graduation dance skills the Year 7 have been developing their leadership skills. The task today was to create a team bonding game and share this with peers.
There was a lot of laughs and creativity
As part of book week Mrs Junghenn's reading class were given the task of being Mystery Reader's around the school.
The students were assigned two classes and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00-11.15 went to read to them.
Prior to this we have been learning about the intricacies of reading a picture book. The students soon discovered that it is harder than it looks! We have been practicing reading aloud with expression, how to engage an audience, how to encourage predictions, open ended questioning and much more. After a slightly nervous start to the first session the students came back buzzing with excitement. The feedback we have had from the teachers has been amazing they were very impressed. Here are a few pictures of us practicing and then in action!
